Re: Custom Midis
Custom soundtrack for Death Wish which most are probably familiar with already. Fits in well with the maps. Link: https://www.moddb.com/mods/death-wish-for-blood/downloads/dw-soundtrack-addon-by-speedy BPF also has some custom midis. There was a catchy track in E2M2 that sounded familiar since the f...

Tunnels under Crystal Lake
I know E4 gets random, but I never understood what the last parts of E4M4 were supposed to represent. After jumping down a toilet, the player discovers a small network of flooded passages that still look fresh and have electric lighting. At one end, they open at the bottom of the lake, and at the ot...

Re: Team Fortress
These teamgames by themselves with vanilla mechanics would be a good proof of concept to start with before adding player classes. Blood's campaign maps may be well suited for domination/king of the hill style gamemodes, ie E1M1 - "Blue controls the morgue, Red controls the graveyard". For ...

Re: Fleshed Out
Played this a few years ago and was impressed by how creative the maps got with architecture. Thanks for reminding that it's time for a replay.

Re: Vehicle Maps
Fate of the Damned/RATM for trains akimbo. Fleshed Out also has an airship and a DW-like train map.

Re: Blood 3D Sound in a Port?
Was this original 3D sound system much different from the one that ended up being in retail Blood? If memory serves right, 3D sound was advertised as a feature on release.

Re: The Fate of the Damned Awaits You
Actually, I think modern settings can fit well in Blood. I may have said that they're often poorly executed, but that goes for other styles as well, including archaic dungeon/temple type maps, which are often bland too. Personally, I thought Death Wish had many good examples of atmospheric maps for ...

Re: The Fate of the Damned Awaits You
Surprised by this bold new release and its very climactic ending. Surpasses the first RATM, with consistently good maps throughout, especially once Caleb reaches the city. My favorite was probably the hospital map, Dead on Arrival, with its nice mix of firefights and suspense. The cultist corner cam...

I played Spec Ops: The Line ten years ago when it was downloadable on PS3 as part of a subscription. Still remember the phosphorus.
Condemned was a blast. Is the console exclusive sequel Condemned 2 worth seeking a used copy over?

Re: hidden gems of fps genre
Will definitely check some of these out.
Only one that I have to add is Kiss: Psycho Circus. Not a great game but I liked the artstyle and the ability to strategically dismember enemies. Runs on the LithTech engine.

Re: top episode (aside from Death wish)
Eviction. The maps released so far are of outstanding quality, staying true to Blood while pushing its limits with scope, detail and new NBlood features. Bloody Pulp Fiction was my favorite until DW was released, although its quality is much more mixed. It has maps that range from excellent (Cultist...
