Re: NBlood thread
FS is abysmally inaccurate to BLOOD. NBlood provides the most authentic experience - I'd even go so far to say it's 1:1 to DOS BLOOD. Especially when you select "software" renderer instead of "polymost". You even get that skewy sprites and distorted viewport effect when you aim u...

Re: Blood: Fresh Supply by Nightdive Studios Released!
Demos are of course excluded since they would never be able to run in the FS version given that every single mechanic has changed.
I hope Steam continues to sell the original game, but for how long I wonder.
@mouth: Congratulations!

Re: Blood: Fresh Supply by Nightdive Studios Released!
No need to worry about Steam/GOG differences, since Fresh Supply contains all the original game's data. It does mostly, but not the original cutscenes. Luckily, original OUWB version of the game can still be downloaded from the "Extras" section as can be seen in the picture posted above b...

Re: Blood: Fresh Supply by Nightdive Studios Released!
Sup guys, jumped on the Fresh Supply yesterday since the moment I saw it. Played it for a bit, seemed alright, but did notice a few bugs (sound bugs, visual bugs). You haven't seen half of it, barely any feature gets close to original implementation. Try nBlood in case you missed it, it's the most ...

Re: Blood: Fresh Supply by Nightdive Studios Released!
I got excited, maybe to play this game after years and years of pause but I might have to do that the old fashioned way. Or try nBlood which free and provides the original experience but in higher resolutions. Also has features like anti-aliasing which I don't recommend, but its basically good old ...

Re: NBlood thread
So, as someone who has fallen off the wagon a while ago this is eazy peazy to get working with just the original GoG copy for instance? Yes, you just unpack the two files into your BLOOD directory and run nBlood.exe. GOG version is fine, they didnt fuck up or exclude any original files. EDIT: The F...

Re: The Altar of Stone Dumpster Fire - Season 1
That said, I would be curious to see how BLOOD would feel with 25% more blood sprays (the ones that eventually form puddles on the ground), One has to be careful though, until and if sprite limitations ever get increased or lifted in nBlood.

Re: The Altar of Stone Dumpster Fire - Season 1s
So making the Brutal BLOOD mod would be easy as making each enemy die by spawning additional blood splatters, 4 severed hands, 3 legs, at least two sets of spleens and guts and why not couple of more heads each. Should be 20 minutes of work to implement. I don't know if it would make sense for the a...

Re: Blood: Fresh Supply by Nightdive Studios Released!
The state of this attempted remake (I wouldn't dare call it a "remaster") is pretty dismal. It's actually a real challenge trying to spot a single feature, mechanical aspect or even a tiny detail that is actually working or behaving like it did in the original game. That is, of course, if ...

Re: The Altar of Stone Dumpster Fire - Season 1
I heard that mentioned before. Brutal DOOM is really cool but I think BLOOD is already pretty brutal by default. It's only missing the finishing moves which I'm not really a fan of, it gets old after a while.

Re: The Altar of Stone Dumpster Fire - Season 1
Got myself an A4Tech "Bloody" mouse. I don't think it has anything to do with actual BLOOD, but I'm really enjoying it:

Re: Facing Worlds
This is an excellent rendition of a classic UT map, you did an amazing job. Using boots to mimic low gravity is a cool idea and I can't wait to try it against other players. I wonder if using the boots actually makes you an easier target due to limited air control? Should make for some interesting d...
