Re: fave weapon of all time for all games/platforms

Unreal and Blood are my favorite FPS arsenals hands down. I agree that Unreal's weapons peaked in UT99 in terms of satisfaction and unique look. The original Unreal introduced the concepts, UT99 perfected them, and UT03/UT04 watered them down. Unreal is my favorite arena shooter as well. I preferred...

Re: bloodite heroes

Not a hero or someone I identify with, but Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising deserves a mention for being hilarious and awesome enough to carry an entire game.

Re: favorite era for clothing

past eras like the middle ages, men's clothing used to look so much cooler But the cool clothes part mostly applies to upper crust doods. How bout the chicks? Medieval clothes for chicks looked more bland and concealing, like a reversal of today's roles. Minoan clothing will probably be in your lis...

Re: favorite era for clothing

Looking back at past eras like the middle ages, men's clothing used to look so much cooler than what's available today. Now, from the 1800s to present, all we have is shirts, suits and pants.

Re: vid games that most messed you up

Same here, Dead Space 2 was less memorable than the original to me, but I'll have to give it a replay. Either on console or with a controller on PC because the controls feel awkward with mouse and keyboard. What about DS3? It got a lot of hate but I thought it was good, besides a few ridiculous inse...

Re: vid games that most messed you up

I found Bioshock Infinite very disappointing, especially considering how good the first two were. Didn't care for its world, the gameplay which felt like a failed last-minute merger of Bioshock and CoD, or the convoluted plot. Mass Effect is a stellar trilogy. I didn't get to play ME3 until after th...

Re: The Altar of Stone Jukebox

Do you like Kate Bush"s hounds of Love? Love the piano in it. Sounds so sad, yet so resolute. Probably my favorite song by her: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7fmB8J2hJw I was thinking of uploading a vid of me stripping but it cannot be a vid in a gig (this is forbidden). Maybe Natalie can f...

Re: pre-plasma blood: fave level?

Interesting revelation there, it means at least a minor detail from my recollection can be corroborated. I will add that in the aforementioned distorted memory of the Phantom Express, there was a cabin at the front of the train with open windows. There were cultists (and fanatics) on the tracks that...

Re: pre-plasma blood: fave level?

The topic of first impressions reminds me of my uncle introducing me to Blood when I was around the age of 5. He opened with E1, and for some reason, my memories of certain maps, especially The Phantom Express, were completely different from the actual map: the train was narrower and more realistic,...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFV4QCq9SEU Got a taste of the divine as Natalie and I performed to this song. Je suis en train de tomber amoureuse, je crois . ..et cela sera notre perte, je le sens, je le crains Good playlist, I've been addicted to that Bjork song for years. This must have been mo...

Re: pre-plasma blood: fave level?

E2M4 and E3M4, both great maps that feature some environmental storytelling. The overlook hotel has a network of secret tunnels behind the walls for abducting guests, while in The Sick Ward, there are catacombs beneath the hospital, presumably where patients were carried off to after being killed. F...

Re: The Angels' Melancholia [SP]

Good base layout-wise. If you do get the time to detail more, it could definitely use more light sources (windows, torches, lights) or more sky ceilings, and more variable shading, especially in the sealed rooms that only have doors as openings. Even though it's a small map, it did feel confusing at...

Re: Episode 2: Sleeper, awake! (Trauma Therapy pt 2)

Episode 2 is a big improvement over the first episode of TT with some top-notch maps. My favorites: Uncanny Coast : full of exploration and a pleasant vibe reminiscent of old school point and click games. Central Tower : a Blood 2-inspired trek to the top of an art deco skyscraper. A blimpy ride : F...
