That looks crazy. I hope the gameplay picks up in speed after that initial sequence, but damn, what a cool introduction!

The slow train of No Hope In Sight was just reached it's final station called "release of the demo":
You can download it with following urls:

https://www.moddb.com/addons/no-hope-in-sight-demo
http://cruo.bloodgame.ru/nhis/

Information:
NO HOPE IN SIGHT (DEMO) by NoOne #1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[!] Powered by NBlood by nuke.YKT
This is the demo map of my new episode I've been working on. The project is NBlood port exclusive since it
provides modern features for mappers that extends Blood's trigger system a lot. More information about
modern stuff can be found on http://cruo.bloodgame.ru/xxsystem.
> IMPORTANT! THIS MAP WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH OLD NBLOOD! PLEASE USE LATEST BUILDS THAT PROVIDES
> MODERN FEATURES FOR MAPPERS AVAILABLE ON https://lerppu.net/wannabethesis/nblood/latest/
NHIS contains brand new enemies:
- Possessed Innocent
- Gardener Zombie
- Strong Zombie
- Flamethrower Cultist
- Life Leech Cultist
- The mini-boss which uses life leech and flare gun projectile
- Misc cultist and innocent variations
It also contains a lot of new art, voxels, sounds and custom events. These events were not
created with any script lanugages or new tools, but everything was done in
PMAPEDIT (latest version always can be found on http://cruo.bloodgame.ru/pmapedit).
REQUIRMENTS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Blood 1.21 Standalone / Steam / GOG.
- ~30MB drive space.
- Latest version of NBlood port (dev builds are fine). DO NOT use builds that were made
before February 2020 because NHIS most likely won't work at all or will work not
properly, so don't torture yourself and better go to https://lerppu.net/wannabethesis/nblood/latest/
in order to download fresh dev builds.
- When playing NHIS, i do strongly recommend selecting software renderer for better experience.

HOW INSTALL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Extract archive content in your Blood directory.
- Run NHIS.BAT by double clicking it to start playing.
- If nblood launcher window appear, select BLOOD.INI to play.
For Linux users there is DOS installation using DosBox is provided. You need
to open NHIS.BAT in dosbox. After install process is finished, you can start
NBlood, select NHIS subfolder as mod directory in NBlood launcher and
select BLOOD.INI to play. However, using -art param may be required. See
post install message.
SOME TIPS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Every crate / barrel / box can be destroyed. Search for items in it.
- Save game often.

Finished the map three times, finally activating the businessman on the third ;)

NHIS is a fun and pioneering venture into Blood from a "newschool" angle, almost like an experiment brought to life at E4M1's operating table. The survival horror elements blend surprisingly well with the fast place of Blood's gameplay, although, understandably, some of the player's speed and mobility had to be sacrificed for this.

New enemies are a great addition and offer new challenges, but they don't feel paired to the balance of Blood's weapons. Almost all the enemies have a low painchance - the shotgun being the only weapon with enough stopping power to make them flinch, the others being too underpowered by comparison. The flare gun and spray can are nearly useless because the enemies are so fast and resistant to fire. The voodoo doll is another example of something very powerful in the base game and underpowered in NHIS.

Exploration is another thing I appreciate about this map, but too much of it is placed in the underwater section, and that's where most of the secrets are hidden. The slow swimming speed and currents make this part too tedious. Some of the cliff areas are accessible to the player but lead to nowhere, while others have too many impassable walls. Perhaps some of the secrets can be moved above water, to said cliffs or to new islands with alternate ways of getting to them, like hopping on floating debris.

The death traps, while really cool and demonstrative of the new features of NBlood, are overkill and too frequent. They force the player to enter a quicksave-mania, especially the ones spaced within a few seconds of each other.

Aside from the above flaws which I felt could be improved upon, this is an outstanding map. Fun to play and with plenty of suspense and cosmic horror. Looking forward to seeing how it continues.
