Re: A Bloody Mess: Christmastown Massacre (e1m2)

This is one of the greatest Blood maps I have ever played. I found Tekedon maps to have the best atmosphere (Slums, Count, Candlelight etc.) but lacking a bit in action. This one delivers in everything! Only minor complaint is the invisible walls detracting from immersion. Maybe you can also link th...

Re: The Way Of Ira

I have played through the episode two times and had a lot of fun on both runs. It lacks polish at times but it's definitely in the top ten of user episodes released for Blood. Some maps like "Asylum for Critics" were bland and may need more detail and fleshing out in future updates, while others lik...

Re: Blood Voxel Pack

The new tommy gun voxel is great and finally makes it not appear huge compared to the other weapons. In my opinion it would be even better if it had the lighter colors of the original. I know the colors are based on the sprite, but the darkness of the barrel and the shade of brown on the stock make ...

When does BLOOD take place?

Monolith's own summary of Blood begins with Visit a dark near-future world populated by hundreds of bloodthirsty enemies . Blood II dates the events of the first game to 1928, but the status of Blood II as canon is debatable. The third episode of Blood odes to WW2, or maybe even WW1 since A Farewell...

Re: Blood Voxel Pack

This really enriches my Blood experience, every single new voxel model looking like it should have been in the game to begin with. Blood would have hit the sweet spot in 1997 if it looked like this - 3D props while still retaining 2D sprite-based enemies/weapons rather than the low poly examples of ...

Re: Does anyone remember "The City of the Damned: Apocalypse" for GZDoom?

Yeah some of the ripped textures look really washed out. The ZBlood revolver doesn't fit with the rest of the weapons and looks off with the crooked barrel. The moonshelter event would be better if it only triggered after set actions like picking up certain keys. It just becomes an annoying interrup...

Does anyone remember "The City of the Damned: Apocalypse" for GZDoom?

TCOTD is a large, advanced single-map total conversion released for GZDoom in 2007 that uses Blood's resources to create a survival horror environment. Back then it just seemed like another good idea with poor execution--atmosphere was great but the gameplay was clunky, and this kept me from finishi...

Re: Overhauling Blood and adding missing features

Everything mentioned here sounds more less like a mod I'd love to make for either BloodGDX or NBlood. Basically Blood Enhanced where it could more less resemble either Smooth Doom (or its Duke Nukem counterpart) or even Brutal Doom (but without ton of useless features). This is why I am currently m...

Re: Overhauling Blood and adding missing features

More items: - Lighter version of super armor pick-up that gives 100 stackable points to each type of armor. Super armor can be overkill with its 200 values, especially in multiplayer where entire maps tend to revolve around control of it. It's also cleaner than putting two basic armors together. The...

Re: Overhauling Blood and adding missing features

That looks very well done. First outside weapon art I've ever seen that fits Blood's graphical style. Was it going impale cultists against walls?

Re: Overhauling Blood and adding missing features

Weapons Pitchfork: Not sure if this would be well-balanced, but there was talk in the notes of turning it into a powered weapon. Jay: What if we gave it some kind of power up that electrified it. When it hit someone arcs of electricity would course around the opponent, damaging them and temporarily ...
